Undercover Otter spins, dyes and blends fiber and yarn related objects in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

We work with as many animal friendly materials as we can, opting for a business built up of love not only for crafting, but for the amazing animals that make it possible. In addition to fibers and yarns we also design and make accessories for fiber related crafts. Needle nests, project bags, stitch markers and patterns are all part of the creative package.

The head honcho of Undercover Otter is me, Petra Sielias. I do pretty much everything related to Undercover Otter (site, maintenance, sales, shipping, PR, finances, all of it). If I can’t do it, I make sure I find the best people that can do it for me. My standards are pretty high and I’m of the opinion that anything worth doing, is worth doing right. As a fellow crafter you might know how quickly the torrent of materials can swallow up your entire house (and life) and as my skills improved and methods got more refined I started to get questions and requests from others. That’s how Undercover Otter got started in early 2014.

A special mention has to go to Marnix. My beardwife and partner in crime. He’s a graphical designer by trade and has experience in retail. He’s my voice of reason when I get swept up in a creative frenzy and is my creative sounding-board. Marnix is also a huge lover of fiber arts and sees fiber addiction not as a hobby, but as a post-apocalyptic survival skill (he is right you know, once those zombies hit, someone needs to keep our feet warm!
